Economy vs. Standard vs. Premium Screens: Which Should You Pick?
When you fix a screen with us, you get to choose the quality. We sort parts into three main tiers: Economy, Standard, and Premium. Select iPhones also have a lower-cost Budget screen. Here's how to pick.
💲 Budget: Our Lowest Price
Budget screens are new, but they're lower quality than our other tiers. They're our lowest-cost option, offered on select iPhone models. On Pro models they run at 90Hz instead of 120Hz, and they include a 1-year warranty against defects on undamaged parts. Budget makes sense for a trade-in or a phone you won't keep long. Budget screens are ordered in for your repair. See prices on the iPhone screen repair prices page.
🥉 Economy (Bronze Tier): A Solid Everyday Screen
Economy is a solid everyday screen at a fair price. You get fully functional parts: high-value unbranded parts and C-grade donor parts. Every one is inspected before we install it.
It's a good fit for older models, backup devices and kids' phones. On a screen, Economy may have rounder corners, wider borders and a baseline refresh rate. It's built for saving money now, not for the longest life. See the Economy tier page.
🥈 Standard (Silver Tier): Our Pick for Most People
Standard is what I recommend for almost everyone. It uses high-grade aftermarket parts and B-grade donor parts, with excellent specs, a vibrant display and a heavy-duty build at an honest price. Next to Premium, a Standard screen may have fractionally wider borders. It's a good fit for the phone you use every day for work or school. See the Standard tier page.
On many iPhones, our Standard screen is a Soft OLED panel and our Economy screen is an LCD. See the iPhone Soft OLED Screen Price List.
🥇 Premium (Gold Tier): The Closest Match to New
Premium uses top-tier parts, brand-new or refurbished and tested to work like new. They're the closest match to how your device left the box: the brightest panels, the thinnest borders and precise corners, full refresh rate and the longest life. See the Premium tier page.
Premium makes the most sense for newer devices, heavy users, gaming and creative work, or anyone who wants maximum longevity and the fewest part notices.
About on-screen part messages: On newer iPhones, Economy and Standard screens may show an "Unknown Part" message in Settings. It's cosmetic and doesn't affect performance or security. Premium parts show minimal to no part notices. If you'd rather avoid the message, ask about plug-and-play screens or a Premium quote. See Plug-and-Play iPhone Screen Price List and iPhone "Unknown Part" Message After a Repair.
🤔 How to Choose
- Keeping the phone for years, or using a newer phone heavily? Look at Standard or Premium.
- Older phone or backup phone? Economy can make sense.
- Trading it in or selling it soon? Budget is our lowest price on select models.
- Not sure? Go Standard.
Changed your mind? Within 14 days of your repair, you can upgrade to a higher tier. You pay the price difference plus swap labor. After 14 days, an upgrade is a new repair at full price. Parts damaged after the repair aren't covered.
