Mail-In Repair FAQ

Answers about mail-in repair at Franchitti's Fix. Still have a question? Call or text (720) 413-8150.

Where Do I Ship My Device?

Get a ticket number first by calling or texting (720) 413-8150. Then ship it to our mail-in shipping address: Franchitti's Fix LLC — Mail-In Repairs, 4515 Texas St, San Diego, CA 92116. Put a note inside with your ticket number, name and phone number.

Is It Safe To Mail My Phone?

Yes, when it's packed well and shipped with tracking. We photograph every package and device when it arrives, so its condition is on record before we start. Follow our packing instructions. Insurance is your choice, and we recommend it for valuable devices.

How Much Does Mail-In Repair Cost?

The repair is quoted after the diagnostic, using our posted prices as a guide. The diagnostic fee is $35, credited toward the repair if we do the repair. If it can't be repaired, return shipping comes out of the $35 and we refund the rest. Otherwise, you pay shipping both ways. You get a clear quote before any work starts.

How Long Does It Take?

It depends on shipping time each way and whether your part is in stock. We'll give you an estimate in your quote and tell you if anything changes. We don't promise timing we can't control.

Who Pays For Shipping?

You do, both ways. Ship to us with any tracked carrier, and we'll include the return shipping cost in your quote or invoice. We don't provide prepaid labels.

Who Works On My Device?

Steve handles every mail-in device himself, from check-in photos to the repair to packing it for the trip home.

Do I Need To Give You My Passcode?

We don't ask for it on any form, and please don't put it in the box. If we need it to test something after the repair, we'll call or text you. Here's why we ask and what we see.

Should I Turn Off Find My?

Leave it on unless we ask you to change it when we give you your ticket. Read our guide to iOS 27 Ready For Repair.

What If I Don't Want The Repair After The Quote?

No problem. We send it back as it arrived once the $35 diagnostic fee and return shipping are paid.

What If I Don't Respond To The Quote?

We follow up by text and email. If there's no response or payment 30 days after the quote, your device is handled as described in our Mail-In Terms.

What If It Can't Be Repaired?

We tell you why and return it reassembled with its own parts where possible. Return shipping comes out of your $35 diagnostic fee, and we refund the rest to you.

What If It Gets Lost Or Damaged In Shipping?

Because you choose the carrier and any insurance, claims for loss or damage in transit are made with the carrier. We'll share our check-in photos and shipping records to help. See the Mail-In Terms.

Can I Mail A Phone With A Swollen Battery?

No. Damaged lithium batteries aren't allowed in the mail. Here's what to do instead.

What Warranty Do Mail-In Repairs Get?

1-year warranty against defects on undamaged parts (Budget screens: 30 days, defects only). Call or text (720) 413-8150 and we'll work out the warranty return with you.

Do You Ship Outside The US?

Not right now. Mail-in repair is for US addresses only.

How Do I Pay?

Payment is due after the quote or the repair, before your device ships back.

Can I Drop It Off Instead?

Yes, if you're near San Diego. Book an appointment. We don't take walk-ins, but call or text (720) 413-8150 first and we can usually fit you in.
