Guide 13c · Parts & Repair Rights
A cheaper repair isn't always a worse one. But a few shortcuts cause most of the trouble we see later. Here's what they are and what to ask any shop.
Questions about a repair you already had done? Call or text (720) 413-8150. I'm happy to take a look.
💧 The Seal Under Your Screen
Every recent iPhone has an adhesive seal around the screen. Opening the phone breaks it. If the old seal isn't cleaned off and replaced, the new screen can lift within a few weeks, and dust and moisture can get in.
What we do:
- Clean off the old adhesive and fit a new seal.
- Put every internal screw and shield back where it belongs.
- Take photos inside the phone, which you can ask to see.
An honest note on water: once a phone has been opened, it isn't as water-resistant as new. A new seal helps with dust and splashes, but don't swim with it.
🔄 Restarting Every 3 Minutes After A Repair
iOS keeps an eye on a set of sensors inside the phone. On many models they sit on the charging-port cable, the power-button cable and the battery. If a screen or battery job unseats or damages one of those cables, iOS restarts the phone about every 3 minutes. Techs call this a kernel panic, which just means an emergency restart.
It usually isn't a dying logic board. The phone saves a short report called a panic log each time, and it often names the missing sensor. Our guide shows you how to find it: How To Find And Send Your iPhone Panic Log.
📸 If Your Phone Was Already Damaged
If a phone is bent, crushed, or was glued shut by a past repair, I can't promise the inside will look new afterward. I will note and photograph anything I find, like missing screws or a bent frame, show you before I start, and fix what can safely be fixed.

Watch Out For Extreme Prices (My Opinion)
If you were sold a thicker LCD-style replacement screen (the economy type) and paid over $200, you probably got taken advantage of. Across every iPhone model I fix, my LCD screens cost well under that, installed. If a quote seems high, call or text me for a second opinion. – Steve
🔌 When It's A Board Problem
Some faults are on the main board itself. I don't do board-level (microsoldering) repair in-house. If that's the problem, I'll stop, explain what I found, and refer you to a microsoldering specialist.
Repairs include a 1-year warranty against defects on undamaged parts. Most repairs take about an hour once we start. Call or text (720) 413-8150 first and we'll confirm your part is in stock.
