Your iPhone hits 20% by mid-afternoon. Before you replace anything, it's worth five minutes to find out why. Sometimes it's an app. Sometimes the battery is just worn out.

📊 Step 1: See What's Using Your Battery
Go to Settings > Battery. Scroll down to see which apps use the most power. One app using far more than the rest is often the cause.
- Update or reinstall the app that drains the most.
- Turn off Background App Refresh for apps you don't need.
- Lower screen brightness or turn on auto-brightness.
⚙️ Step 2: Quick Settings That Help
- Turn on Low Power Mode when you need to stretch a charge.
- Update iOS. Updates sometimes fix battery bugs.
- Restart your phone. It can stop a stuck process that keeps running.
A day or two after a big iOS update, battery life can dip while the phone finishes background work. Give it time before you decide.

🔋 Step 3: Check Battery Health
Go to Settings > Battery > Battery Health. Look at Maximum Capacity. As it drops, you get less time per charge. On iPhone 15 and later, you can also see the cycle count.
If it says the battery needs service, or capacity is around 80% or lower, a replacement will likely help. We go deeper in iPhone Battery Health Below 80%.
🚩 Signs the Battery Is the Problem
- The phone shuts off with charge left.
- The percentage jumps around, like 40% to 10%.
- The phone feels slow, especially when the battery is low.
- The phone gets warm doing simple things.
- The screen is lifting. That can mean a swollen battery, so stop charging and call us.
