How to use AI to update your website without rewriting it page by page: give your bot a short list of lasting rules once, ask it to remember them, then have it draft the changes for your approval.
My website used to make a promise I couldn't always keep. One line said "Most repairs are done same-day." Other pages said other things. Some talked about parts in ways I didn't like. Fixing it page by page would have taken me weeks of evenings.
Instead, I told my bots the rules once: no time promises, call or text first, one warranty line everywhere. Then I asked them to remember those rules for good.
What happened next surprised me. The bots didn't just fix the pages I pointed at. They ran site-wide passes and found lines I'd forgotten existed. Here's the before-and-after, and the exact way I phrased the rules so they'd stick.

Lasting Rules Vs. One-Off Requests
The docs separate lasting rules from task-specific instructions (source). A rule like "no time promises" is lasting. "Fix this page" is one-off.
Real Before And After
- Before: "Most repairs are done same-day." After: the promise is gone.
- Before: "120Hz" was written as a brand-name feature term in some places. After: plain "120Hz" everywhere, including 47 device spec fields. (Source: Franchitti's Fix website upgrades report, Oct 2026.)
How To Phrase A Rule
Start with "From now on," say it in one line, and ask the Bot to remember it (source).

The Short Version
Instead of editing page by page, give your bot a few lasting rules and let it find every place they apply. Here's how.
Step By Step
- List the rules. Short, lasting rules, such as no time promises or one warranty line.
- Write the exact wording. Where a line must be the same everywhere, give the text.
- Ask the bot to remember them. Say remember so they stick.
- Ask for a site-wide pass. Read-only first: list every place a rule is broken.
- Review the list. Check each page and line.
- Have it draft the fixes. On drafts or paste files, not live.
- Approve the changes. You decide what goes live.
- Rerun after new pages. New content can break old rules.
What A Site-Wide Pass Returns
Page | Line found | Rule | Suggested fix
/pages/faq | "done same-day" | No time promises | [new line]
Est. Usage: Low
Copy These Prompts
Remember these rules for good: [rules]. Then check every page on my site, read-only, and list every line that breaks one, with the page and a suggested fix.
Est. Usage: Medium
Draft the fixes I approved as paste-ready text. Don't change the live site.
Est. Usage: Medium
Before You Approve
- Rules are written once and remembered.
- Every change is listed with its page.
- Fixes were drafted, not made live.
- You approved the list.
Common Mistakes
- Fixing one page and missing the rest.
- Rules that are too vague to check.
- Letting the bot edit live.
- Different wording on different pages.
- Not rerunning after adding pages.
Worked Scenario: One Promise, Many Pages
Say one line on your site promises same-day repairs, and you don't want to make time promises. You give the bot the rule once and ask it to remember it, then ask for a site-wide pass.
It finds that line on several pages you'd forgotten about, drafts the replacements and lists every change with the page it's on. You approve the list, and the next time it writes anything, it follows the rule without being told.
More Questions
Why Rules Instead Of Page-by-page Edits?
One rule applied site-wide catches lines you'd never find by hand.
Will It Change Pages Without Asking?
Keep it drafting. You approve the changes before they go live.
How Do I Phrase A Rule So It Sticks?
Short and specific: what to always do, what to never say.
A Small Business Can Work Like A Big One
Many small business owners don't know these AI tools exist yet. That's a missed chance, because they let a small shop handle work that used to need a team: price updates, store edits, daily reports and research. You stay the one who approves every change, and the routine work gets done in the background.
Estimated usage: our rough guide, not an official figure. Est. Usage: Low quick one-off asks; Est. Usage: Medium multi-step tasks or short research; Est. Usage: High long research, many tool calls, browser work or daily routines.
How Grok Bot Usage Works
Franchitti's Fix is run by Steve with help from Grok Bot, so here's the plain version of how its usage works.
- Your Plan Includes A Usage Allowance. Paid plans come with included usage that refreshes every week. Higher-tier plans include more. Unused usage doesn't roll over. (Source)
- Bigger Jobs Use More. In general, long research, tasks that use lots of tools and routines running in the background do more work, so they draw down the allowance faster than a quick question.
- Light Settings Stretch It. Lower effort for simple jobs, fewer and less frequent routines and short, focused requests all help the allowance last. See How To Regulate Grok Bot Usage.
- Checking Your Usage. In Grok Bot, open Settings, then Usage & Billing. On The X Subscription, you can also check Usage at grok.com/dashboard, which shows the weekly pool, the next reset date and any prepaid credit. (Source)
