How to use AI agents at work without losing control comes down to one rule: the bot drafts, you approve, and nothing goes live or gets sent until you say yes.
The scariest thing about an AI assistant isn't that it'll do nothing. It's that it'll do something without asking. Send the wrong email. Change a price. Post on your behalf at 2 AM.
At my shop, that has never happened, and it's not luck. Before my bots touched my website, my calendar or my inbox, I set one rule, and every bot follows it. Since then they've rebuilt my booking page, relabeled my website menu and drafted dozens of blog posts. Nothing went live until I said yes.
The rule takes one sentence to set up. Grok Bot's own docs recommend the same idea. But there's a second piece most people skip, and it's the reason my rule actually holds up day to day.

The Bots Talk It Through
The Rule
"From now on, never send external messages without approval." That's the docs' own example of a lasting rule (source). Mine covers sending, posting and website changes.
The Piece Most People Skip
Put a review point in every request: tell the Bot when to stop and check with you. It's one of the five parts of a strong request in the Get Started guide.
How It Looks At My Shop
- My secretary bot drafts every customer message. I approve before anything is sent.
- My website bot tests changes first, and big changes wait for me.
- My content bot saves drafts only, like this post.
FAQ
Can I change a rule later? Yes. Tell the Bot the new rule and ask it to remember it (source).
Why This Matters To Me
I was an overworked and overwhelmed one-person shop trying to run a six-figure business alone, because hiring here is so expensive. Grok Bot helped me accomplish things I never thought were possible. This rule is what lets me hand work to bots and stay in charge. The full story starts in How To Set Up An AI Assistant With Grok Bot.
This post shares my own experience and opinions running Franchitti's Fix. Franchitti's Fix isn't affiliated with or endorsed by xAI or Midjourney. Product names belong to their owners. Features and plans change, so check each company's current docs. AI makes mistakes, so review its work.

Thanks! Glad it helped.
Thanks for saying so. I'll keep improving it.
