iPhone How-To Guide • Find Your Model"Which iPhone do I have?" is the first question for any quote. Here is how to find out in under a minute.
Works on: Every iPhone. The Settings steps are the same on all of them.
How To Find Your Model, Serial And IMEI
- Open Settings.
- Tap General.
- Tap About.
- Look at Model Name. That is what to tell me for a quote.
- Scroll down for the Serial Number and IMEI. The IMEI is a 15-digit ID number your carrier uses to recognize your phone. Touch and hold a number to copy it.
If The Phone Won't Turn On Or Unlock
- Plug it into a Mac and open Finder, or a PC with the Apple Devices app. The serial number shows up there.
- If the phone is on the Hello setup screen, tap the small i button in the corner to see the numbers.
- Check the box the phone came in. The label lists the model and serial.
Not sure which model you have? Text me a photo of the back and I can usually tell.
