My Setup, For Context

Where Claude Does Better

• Connectors let Claude read your apps and take actions, and they inherit each person's permissions from the connected service (Claude Help).
• One connector directory serves claude.ai, the desktop and mobile apps, Claude Code and Cowork (Claude Docs).
• Claude Code Projects run related tasks as parallel threads you can steer from your phone (Claude Code Docs).

Where Grok Bot Fits Better

• Each bot keeps its own conversations, learned context and preferences. Files, browser logins and app sessions live on one shared computer, and each bot gets its own screen on it (Grok Bot docs).
• Because bots run on a cloud computer, they can use plain websites without a connected app, even while my laptop is shut (Grok Bot docs).
• Bots can work in parallel, talk to each other and hand off work (Grok Bot docs).

Tradeoffs On Both Sides

• Connectors are switched on per conversation, which is an extra step but keeps access deliberate (Claude Help).
• Websites may block automation, time out sessions or require a human step, which the bot returns to you (Grok Bot docs).
• Weekly usage resets mean busy days take some planning (Grok Bot docs).
• All bots use the same computer, so whatever you store there, every bot can see (Grok Bot docs).

What Each One Is Best For

Claude: long writing, document work and coding projects, especially for developers.

Grok Bot: standing roles with their own computer, browser logins and routines.

How It Fits A Small Business

If most of your work is writing, reading documents or code, Claude is excellent. For a shop owner who wants bots to log into sites, run routines and report back, Grok Bot's shared cloud computer fits that work better.

Why This Matters To Me

I fix phones, not code. My bots mostly handle web and calendar chores, so a persistent computer matters more to me than a coding workspace. I'd still point a writer to Claude without hesitation.
