On models like the iPhone 12, 13, 14 Pro, and 14 Pro Max, the back glass is bonded to the frame. We use our TBK-958F automated laser to loosen the old glass, then lift it off.
This takes more time and more steps. Plan on about 3 to 4 hours.
🔓 Newer iPhones Have a Removable Back
On the iPhone 14, 14 Plus, and the iPhone 15 through 17 lineups, the back is designed to come off. No laser is needed, so the repair has fewer steps.

📈 Why Prices Go Up on Newer iPhones
Among removable backs, the price steps up as models get newer and move up the lineup. The iPhone 14, 14 Plus and 16e are $90, and the iPhone 15 is $95. The 15 Pro is $110 and the 16 Pro is $125. The 17, Air, 17 Pro and 17 Pro Max are $145.
Bonded backs work a little differently. They need laser removal. Most bonded backs, like the iPhone 11, 12 and 13 lineups, are $135. The 14 Pro and 14 Pro Max are $155, our highest back glass price.
